Cantieri di Pisa, the renowned Italian luxury yacht shipyard, has unveiled the Polaris 48, the first model in their innovative line of steel and aluminum voyagers. This new range is characterized by remarkable versatility, long-range cruising capabilities, and low fuel consumption, thanks to the Eco High Power Hull (EHPH) designed by Optima Design.
A Collaboration of Design Excellence
The Polaris 48 is the result of a collaborative effort between Cantieri di Pisa’s chief designer Antonio Luxardo the Optima Design team for exteriors and engineering, and the internationally acclaimed architecture firm Parisotto + Formenton for interiors. Antonio Luxardo notes,
“The new line features different types of boats and materials compared to the brand’s past production but retains immediately recognizable lines that reflect its traditional values.”
VERSATILE AND LUXURIOUS DESIGN
The Polaris 48 is classified as a voyager, offering the range of an explorer with versatile exteriors and sophisticated interiors. Key features include:

- Main Deck: The main deck boasts two cabins (a master suite and a VIP stateroom) and approximately 200 square meters of living space. This includes a 50-square-metre interior lounge and a 150-square-metre outdoor relaxation area featuring a Jacuzzi. The deck is designed to accommodate three tenders or a combination of a rescue boat and two jet skis. The gunwale opens to facilitate tender hauling and create additional guest space.

- Upper Deck: This deck features a dining area and a large sea-view terrace with couches, sun pads, a bar, and stairways leading to the beach area.

- Lower Deck: Besides the two main deck cabins, the lower deck includes four guest cabins and accommodations for eight crew members, with the captain’s cabin located on the bridge deck.

ELEGANT INTERIORS BY PARISOTTO + FORMENTON
The interior design, crafted by Parisotto + Formenton, exudes elegance with light-filled spaces and a warm atmosphere. The design incorporates shades of brown and white, and materials reminiscent of the classic Akhir line, such as pickled teak, carbon fiber, bronze, glass, and brass. The interiors maintain a marine theme with sleek lines and extensive glazing that ensures a seamless connection with the surrounding environment.
POWERFUL AND EFFICIENT PERFORMANCE
The Polaris 48 is powered by two 1,650 hp V12 Man engines, providing a range of approximately 4,000 miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. Cantieri di Pisa is also exploring hybrid propulsion options as an alternative to conventional technology.
